PRINTER TO SPRINTER ;-) Reply to this post

Can I connect ZX-PRINTER to your machine?
(Btw - has Sprinter the same paralel port, like in
previous Spectrums [port for printer, ay, and other
interfaces])?
Has Sprinter its own printer? Is it normal printer from PC?

Sprinter computer is designed for support of modern periphery. Sprinter has standard (PC) parallel port.
You can use any printer which supported Epson standard. And we will test support of other printers.

I am the most interested in HewlettPackard printers as they are the most popular here. Will the work correctly?
And still I have one more question -

- will ZX-PRINTER (a printer designed esspecially for working with ZX81 and ZX SPECTRUM, as you know) work correctly with Sprinter?

- is there typical ZX-port (for interfaces, printer, AY) in Sprinter?? That's very important for me.

No, you can't use ZXPrinter with Sprinter.
About ZX ports... Some of it is standard ZX, but several ports in original Sprinter type.
We prepare the description of Sprinter's ports. It will be publish as soon, as it possible.

So Sprinter has no so-called 'ZX-BUS' as one of its ports???

No, Sprinter has not ZX-Bus as one of ports. You need ISA-ZXBUS card for support ZX-Bus.

Re: PRINTER TO SPRINTER ;-) new [re: Alex_Goryachev]Reply to this post

ok, but back to printer mater...

So should I understand,
that I plug into Sprinter normal PC printer,
then I enter ZX SPECTRUM mode,
type COPY, LPRINT, or LLIST
and PC-printer attached to Sprinter starts to
print my screens?
(!!!!??)
