video problem again
|
| |
Hi,
I recently got a Sprinter but I have troubles to make it work on my Philips CM8832 RGB monitor :/
It looks like the monitor cannot synchronize or the video mode is not supported, which is doubtful considering it's supposed to be regular 50Hz vertical / 15 Khz horizontal.
I use the regular scart video cable that's delivered with the Sprinter. I checked the pin connections and they seem to be correct and similar to what's shown here :

I had a word with Davide Barlotti (thanks mate) who is using his Sprinter on a Philips CM8833 and it works fine for him. And It seems they're no relevant differences between the two models of monitors. So I wonder where's the problem... Undocumented differences ?
Does anyone here is using his Sprinter on a CM8832 and managed to make it work ? And just because I'm curious, on what type of monitor do you use your Sprinter ?
Cheers!

Maybe your monitor needs "drive" instead of "sync" signals! To make drive out of sync youn to invert sync signals with a simple nand gate!

Thanks for your answer. I can try that. I suppose a nand gate is a component I can get in an electronics shop?

Yes! They cost less than a buck 74LS00 would be ok! It consist of 4 nand gates? your need only two!
