New BIOS is finished now. Today we begin official beta-testing. During two weeks our beta testers will test work of external Spectrum BIOS, 16 bit stereo sound, ets. We have plan to publish release of new BIOS at 10.04.02.

Two quick questions about this:

1- Does the new BIOS work for every Sp2000 board, including Sp2000 Light?

2- What does "external Specturm BIOS" exactly mean? Does it mean that we can use a different Spectrum ROM, or that the Spectrum BIOS is now separately added to the Sprinter?

Yes, Sprinter computer with mainboard Sp2000-Light can use new BIOS.
External Spectrum BIOS separated. It support usage different Sperctrum ROMs from HD or FD.
And one thing also. After loading Spectrum ROMs to the memory at first time, Spectrum BIOS will work without reload till power switch off.
