Kempston/AY Mouse Reply to this post

Sprinter website says that you can use Serial mouse in Spectrum compatible mode. How does this work? Is it kempston/AY compatible mode? Or does it have to be programmed specially for the sprinter?

It's kempston mouse in Spectrum compatible mode. All software that used kempston mouse will work without any special modifications.

Yes,
especially I found strange thing. When I load the newest version of PRO TRACKER - the mouse work!!! But it's the only prog I found, which works with mouse.
Everybody, please write - does the mouse works on your Sprinters in ZX SPECTRUM mode???

May be it's problem of highest bits of kempstone byte?
There are programs that don't mask it and use wrong value.

No, it's not that.
Althought we cannot say 'the programs have been written badly' because they were working on other models OK. I think Sprinter's creator should have took it under consideration while making Kempston mouse in ZX mode.
