FAQ..+2A+3 Reply to this post

In the FAQ I have read:
-----------------------------
Q: Which 128K models do your computer handle? +2, +2A, +3, all?
A: Sprinter computer support in any Spectrum modes: tape, floppy disk 3,5"(5,25") and not support microdrive.
-----------------------------
I think who isn't correct:
The Sprinter has the support for 48k, 128k, +2 but
dosen't have the support for the +2A and +3.
ROM: the bank is of 64Kb and not of 32k.
There's also the support for the filesystem of the DOS.
ULA: its a made by Amstrad the video timing is different (is incompatible with some old games developed for the previous version..)
DISKSUPPORT: THE +3 has the filesistem different from the betadisk (it's compatible with Amstrad CPC) to part that the floppy from 3 inches...
However with the +3 it's possible to connect a normal 3.1/2 FDD.
It could be interesting to support also the +3 on the Sprinter...
The compatibility with the +3 is not essential especially for the Soviet market but as an example for the Spanish market creed that is a lot interesting approval the dissemination and the software produced for the +3

Re: FAQ..+2A+3 new [re: davidebarlotti]Reply to this post

But in FAQ we not say about Sprinter compatibility with +2A and +3. We have not full information about these Spectrum models and we wrote list of supported Spectrum periphery for comparison.
Ok. Thank you for detailed information. This item of FAQ will be corrected.

Which technical information you have need?
it's in your plans to implement the support for the +3?
It would be truly winning to succeed to support also support HardDisk +3e of Garry Lancaster...

Spectrum mode new [re: davidebarlotti]Reply to this post

No, we have not plans for support Spectrum +3. Progress of Sprinter configuration(s), new software for this configuration is more interesting today.
Today, Sprinter has full compatibility with next Spectrum models (clones): ZX Spectrum 48, ZX Spectrum 128, ZX Spectrum 128+, ZX Spectrum +2, Pentagon 128, Scorpion ZS256, Pentagon 512. Is it all? Add another model if my list not full, please.
So, is it sufficient support of Spectrum software?
We think, 'yes' for a lot of interesting Spectrum programs.
And you?
