At the Forum we can see some suggestions about Sprinter progress. We want to find right way of our computer progress. Sprinter computer has several main features:

Architecture flexibility
Compatibility with ZX Spectrum
High graphic screen
Stereo sound
Compatibility with standard data format
Usage of standard periphery

What feature of the Sprinter computer most important for you? What feature need more progress?

These are all very exciting directions to follow. I'm a bit confused about it though. Could you give some examples of what they mean?

I think everything must move on. I voted for the periphery, but I was doubtful about ZX compatibility (that's why I bought Sprinter to start with!).

I really think this poll's result should be used to assign priorities to the areas of development interest instead of relegating areas to few or no development at all.

What I mean is: Suppose periphery support gets last. That would NOT mean "no development of standard periphery" but instead "let's do the rest FIRST, then standard periphery".
I assume THIS was what you meant, wasn't it?

Brief comments of poll items.

Architecture flexibility - creation of new configurations with new hardware features; changing of internal logic of PLD is solution of all problems.
Compatibility with ZX Spectrum - progress of Spectrum configuration only; Sprinter will be "Super-Spectrum".
High graphic screen - progress of Sprinter's Video System; new video functions.
Stereo sound - new modes of Sprinter's Audio System, usage of other audio files.
Compatibility with standard data format - usage of files from other computer platforms.
Usage of standard periphery - usage of different modern periphery.

In any way, any items means to take a time for creation of hardware support, new software and detailed documentation for developers. It means a lot of time for progress one-two features of Sprinter and slow progress of other features.

But you can suggest your comment of poll items.

Yes, we have plans about progress of each items but we want to correct it time to time. We should know the hierarchy of interests of today's and future users.

BTW: "Architecture flexibility " - may be future configurations of MSX or Commodore 64. We saw a lot of opinions about MSX... and what about Commodore 64?

C64 ?? but has another CPU 6502 and I think who there's some big problem to emulate also the FDD unit because there is also another CPU inside...
BTW:do you know the WAR of year '80 from the user C64 and Spectrum ? ;)
The MSX I think is much easy because the architecture is similar to Spectrum...
Personally I prefer the support for the SuperSpectrum SamCoupe...

Yeah! I agree with you!!!
Sam Coupe' was a kind of "super spectrum" but the project (sigh...) was stopped quickly...
Sprinter (as Sam Coupe') have 256 colors... Sam Coupe' may be an antagonist of normal pc!
Also MSX is another good system (fast...)

This war in the past.
And Sprinter was created as multiform computer. The force in the flex course, we trust.
Any new configuration is a lot of interesting (or so-so, yes) old games and other software. This is a heritage of the last years. We don't want to lose it.
Now we examine all possible variants of 8 bit computers configurations. Then we will opened a poll on this topic.

Maybe I'm a bit late with this comment, but...

I think that the possibility to use different system configurations is the most important. I'd like to see emulation of the Nintendo Gameboy and the Texas Instruments graphing calculators. Both use a z80 (or slightly modified).
