Sound programming info request Reply to this post

The Sprinter hardware is after the last PLD update able to play sound in up to stereo 44.1 khz. It is also my understanding that the Covox output has a 256 byte sound buffer queue. Now for the questions:

- What port do i use to write to the Covox in sprinter mode?

- Can i reduce the sample rate of the Covox, so the 256 byte buffer queue will not be emptied so fast?

- Is there some way to measure the state of the buffer queue, so i will know when to fill it, and with how many bytes?

- What is the best way of timing writes to the Covox? Vblank is too slow for 44.1 khz in stereo. Are there other more frequently triggered interrupts or methods that can be used?
